Veterans Day Ceremony, November 9

Event

UCLA's Veterans Day Ceremony provides an opportunity to thank those who sacrifice so much to defend our freedom.

One of UCLA’s outstanding traditions is honoring Bruins who have served in the military. Our annual Veterans Day Ceremony provides a special opportunity to express our gratitude to those who sacrifice so much to defend our freedom through their service.

Please join me in honoring UCLA’s and our nation’s veterans Friday, November 9, at 10:30 a.m. in Wilson Plaza.

Our featured speakers will be State Senator Ted Lieu, a lieutenant colonel in the Air Force Reserve, and alumnus Jim Cragg, president of Special Operations Technologies. The program will include a flyover by two F-16 aircraft. Following the event, an expo will provide information about campus and community resources for veterans, and, as part of the UCLA Volunteer Center’s partnership with Operation Gratitude, all who attend will be invited to write letters of support to our troops serving overseas.

To RSVP, please click here. I look forward to seeing you there.
