UCLA must focus on education and training that will be essential for the next generation.

The COVID-19 pandemic brought monumental shifts in how colleges and universities operate. But for UCLA Chancellor Gene Block, the pandemic also highlighted the need for particular types of education and training that will be essential to successfully navigate and contribute to a world rife with complicated crises. In this short video, Chancellor Block discusses three literacies — science, information and global — that UCLA must invest in so that today’s graduates can be tomorrow’s leaders.
