Bruin Family Weekend Begins this Friday

Chancellor Block shared the following message with the UCLA campus community.

Dear Bruin Community:

This Friday marks the beginning of Bruin Family Weekend, in which several thousand parents, caretakers and other family members of our students will join us for activities and events across campus. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to share their UCLA experiences with those close to them.

I look forward to this weekend every year and wish to thank everyone who has been involved in its planning and organization. From faculty lectures on critical topics like the growing impact of heatwaves or our evolving understanding of autism, to lunches with our deans, workshops on career resources and a presentation from the UCLA Film and Television Archive, there is truly something for everyone to enjoy. The weekend culminates, of course, with our homecoming football game as UCLA takes on Colorado on Saturday at the Rose Bowl.

Please join me in welcoming all our weekend guests and helping ensure that they have a memorable time at UCLA.
