Bruin Family Weekend Begins this Friday
Interim Chancellor Hunt shared this message with the UCLA campus community.
Dear Bruin Community:
Tomorrow marks the start of Bruin Family Weekend. During this special two-day event, we will welcome several thousand parents, caretakers and other family members of our students to the UCLA campus, giving them a chance to experience firsthand the energy and community spirit that make our university so special.
Bruin Family Weekend is an opportunity for families to get a taste of campus life, meet our renowned faculty, attend thought-provoking lectures, enjoy performances and, of course, celebrate our shared Bruin pride. Guests will enjoy campus and museum tours, lunches with deans and faculty-led presentations on topics ranging from planetary dunes to the queens of ancient Egypt. Bruins and families can also cheer on our football team as we take on the Iowa Hawkeyes at the Rose Bowl at 6 p.m. on Friday.
As the parent of a Bruin myself, I recognize how special it is for family members to have this opportunity to experience campus life. I am deeply grateful to everyone who has worked hard behind the scenes to create this wonderful event. Please join me in welcoming our guests to Westwood and helping ensure their visit is memorable and enjoyable.
Sincerely,
