Bruin Family Weekend on Oct. 30 and 31

Chancellor Julio Frenk shared this message with the Bruin community.

Dear Bruin Community:

Tomorrow we will welcome our students’ parents, guardians and loved ones to campus for Bruin Family Weekend, a two-day celebration of everything that makes UCLA extraordinary. It is an opportunity for families to see firsthand what life is like at the nation’s No. 1 public university — and an opportunity for us to welcome them in a spirit of community and connection.

For many who come this weekend, this is their first chance to see how their students are settling in to their new homes and to meet their instructors, mentors, coaches and friends. Families will learn about discoveries taking place across our university, experience an inspiring arts event and cheer on our student-athletes. On Saturday, Oct. 31, our football team will take on the Nevada Wolf Pack at the Rose Bowl.

My gratitude to everyone who has poured their hearts into making this weekend dynamic and well planned, and to everyone on campus for helping our students’ loved ones feel welcome this weekend.

We are One UCLA.
