Campus Update

UCLA Engineering launches the Bill Klug Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Today marks one year since the tragic death of Professor William S. Klug. Our entire UCLA family was deeply affected by his loss, and we feel his absence every day.

A highly dedicated and admired faculty member in the mechanical and aerospace engineering department, Professor Klug conducted vital research and prepared his students to become the next generation of outstanding engineers. He was intellectually curious, caring and patient, and he represented the very best of UCLA.

Our thoughts are with Professor Klug’s wife, Mary Elise, and their two children.

Let us continue to honor Professor Klug’s memory and strive to uphold the values he embodied. The Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science is launching today the Bill Klug Memorial Scholarship Fund to support undergraduate students in mechanical and aerospace engineering.
