New Website for Reporting Acts of Bias
Chancellor Block announces a new resource to foster respect among students, staff and faculty.
The True Bruin values of integrity, excellence, accountability, respect and service are guiding principles for all members of our campus community. Providing an environment that nurtures these values is among our highest priorities and is a responsibility that we all share.
To foster respect among students, staff and faculty, we must prevent acts of bias directed at any member of our community, and respond as quickly as possible if they occur. To that end, UCLA Student Affairs has established the UCLA Report Bias website. The new site provides a clear definition of bias, links to useful campus resources and a confidential means of reporting acts of bias to the Office of the Dean of Students.
Derogatory comments or behavior toward others have no place in a teaching and learning community that encourages intellectual discourse, values multiple perspectives and views, and deeply respects our diverse backgrounds.
We all must tirelessly strive to maintain an environment that is free of bias. If you have concerns regarding a possible incident of bias, please report it through the new site.
