Dear Bruin Community:
During the winter quarter, I met with students through UCLA Connects: Chancellor’s Office Hours, and our conversations were illuminating for me. Hearing directly from students — their experiences, concerns, career plans and ideas for strengthening our university — has been invaluable. I look forward to continuing these discussions in the months ahead.
As the spring quarter begins, I invite students to sign up for a one-on-one conversation in my office. Students who are interested may complete the Chancellor’s Office Hours registration form by April 16. Throughout the quarter, students will be selected at random from the pool of sign-ups for office hours appointments. Students who already signed up during the winter quarter remain in the pool and do not need to sign up again. Additional details about the process can be found on the form.
These conversations are an extension of last year’s Listening Exercise, which was designed to be intensive, immersive and iterative. The office hours are one more iteration of that effort — another way for me to listen and learn directly from students.
I continue to be inspired by the insight, creativity and lived experience of our Bruin community. Your perspectives help shape our university and inform the decisions we make together, and I am grateful for each opportunity to hear from you.
We are One UCLA.
