Dear Bruin Community:
I am pleased to share some great news: UCLA has been ranked the No. 1 public university in the nation by U.S. News & World Report.
This recognition reflects the extraordinary work of our entire Bruin community, and I thank everyone who makes UCLA what it is. I am grateful to our faculty, whose teaching, scholarship, creative activities and discovery expand the boundaries of knowledge and deepen our understanding of the world. To our staff, whose dedication and care make excellence possible across every part of our university. To our students, whose brilliance, heart and commitment to making a positive difference in the world inspire us every day. And to our alumni, who carry the UCLA spirit with them wherever they go.
We should all take pride in this moment and in what we have accomplished together. I also want to congratulate our colleagues at UC Berkeley, who share the No. 1 ranking with us. As we look to UCLA’s next chapter, today’s news reminds us that we are building on our strengths, thinking boldly about our future and moving in the right direction.
