Chancellor Block visits Bruins in Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia and Singapore
Chancellor Block met with UCLA alumni, students, parents and friends in Asia.
While in Tokyo, Chancellor Block signed an MOU with alumni Vic Murai (MBA ’62) and Tomohiro Tohyama (LLM ’84) at the opening of the UCLA Japan Center. The culmination of a grassroots effort by UCLA alumni in Japan, the Center will function as a resource center for the UCLA Japan Alumni Association and promote U.S.-Japanese intellectual exchange.
In Manila, Chancellor Block and Mrs. Block met with alumni, including Venu Kotamraju (’95, MBA ’99) and Ana Kotamraju (’93, MBA ’99) and their family.
Venu Kotamraju (’95, MBA ’99) joined the UCLA-YPO Global Forum in Manila.
UCLA delegation and speakers participated in the UCLA-USINDO Global Forum in Jakarta.
US Ambassador to Indonesia Robert Blake hosted a reception for UCLA alumni, parents and friends at his residence in Jakarta.
Chancellor Block addressed guests at a UCLA reception in Singapore.
