Join us for Veterans Day Ceremony, November 8

Each year, we take time to commend those who have courageously and selflessly dedicated themselves to serving our nation in the U.S. armed forces — and to recognize our many UCLA faculty, students, staff and alumni who are veterans. I invite all of you to join fellow Bruins this Friday, November 8, at 10 a.m. for our annual Veterans Day ceremony in Wilson Plaza.

We are honored this year to have two distinguished speakers who are members of the Bruin family: U.S. Army veteran Chris Silva, manager of the UCLA Behavioral Intervention Team; and U.S. Navy veteran Christopher Jones, who is pursuing his doctorate in chemistry here.

The ceremony will be followed by a resource fair to share our many services and programs that support veterans. I also encourage you to visit the UCLA Veterans website to learn more about our longstanding partnerships with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
