Chancellor Block thanked Alan Leve for his generosity and recognized the importance of the Alan D. Leve Center for Jewish Studies to UCLA and the community at large, at a naming ceremony.

“The Leve Center is extending UCLA’s proud legacy as this city’s crossroads for Jewish thought and exploration,” said Chancellor Block. “That legacy extends to 1948, when UCLA offered some of the first Jewish studies courses at any public research university in the country.”
